We live in a

small town in rural Western North Carolina where we both grew up and we are blessed to be able to live near all of our family.  I love the Lord, but I am a totally imperfect and growing Christian.  I am employed at a community college and I dream of being a stay at home mommy (sometimes).

I went to school at the University of Tennessee - GO VOLS!! -- and I still love rooting them on!

I am not a great cook, but I love to experiment and try lots of new recipes...good thing my husband is adventurous!

I am a procrastinator and completely unorganized in a lot of areas of my life...but I want to change that.  Doesn't everyone??

I have tons of different interests such as gardening, baking, freezer cooking, doing home projects and decorating, and working on my style (or lack thereof) just to name a few. 

I never thought that this is the way my life would be or that I would end up back in the small town where I grew up, but I am learning a lot about life and I sure wouldn't change a thing that I have done. 

Those are just a few facts about me and I hope that by creating this blog and a central location to "keep up" with my life and happenings around me, that I can become more a more creative person and learn to stop and enjoy the precious things that are happening in my life!  :)
